City officials are reporting that most all the major roads in Sugar Land are impassable.

"We have received more than 7 inches of rain during the past four hours. Our storm drains are functioning normally, but the large amount of rain we've received in a short period of time has exceeded the capacity of our storm drains. We continue to experience widespread street flooding throughout Sugar Land. All major roadways are impassable. Seek high ground and avoid driving if possible. More rain is expected this evening, conditions could worsen. Do not call 911 unless you are in eminent danger. Please report any incidents of flooding in your home HERE!"

It was bad yesterday. Here's hoping it's drained by now.

@cruser : Never knew that toilets wouldn't flush in this situation. Hope it's working now.

@zoomchum : Makes sense, the water has to go down. If there's no down to go to...well. Glad I have a house on what passes for high ground here. It was built back when they knew how to grade houses and streets, so flooding isn't really a problem in the neighborhood, but is in the main streets around here.
