It's almost time to send the little ones back to their respective schools following the summer break. That means back-to-school shopping is in full swing, and the annual tax holiday is coming this weekend.

This year's Sales Tax Holiday is this weekend, August 9 - 11. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced less than $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend. Below are specific items and the category they fall under.

we are making our annual purchase of 25 cent notebooks ...sometimes we've seen them at 17 cents. At Target, Walmart and HEB!
