On Wednesday, November 17, 2021 around 3 p.m., a collaborative surveillance effort involving Sugar Land Patrol Division, Sugar Land Detectives and Stafford Police Department resulted in the arrest of a bank jugging suspect. Juggings occur when criminals follow residents from banks or other establishments with the intent of breaking into their cars or robbing residents directly.
While conducting active surveillance at the Chase Bank on Sweetwater Blvd, detectives located a possible suspect casing the parking lot. The suspect followed a potential victim from Chase Bank to the Riverpark Shopping Center and broke into the victim’s vehicle. Sugar Land patrol officers initiated a traffic stop, resulting in officers placing the suspect into custody.
Thank you to all those involved who made this a Sugar Land Police Department Success Story!
