The City of Sugar Land is feeling thankful
The City of Sugar Land is so incredibly thankful to have employees like Jose that truly go above and beyond to care for residents! Jose is a General Maintenance II Worker in the Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Department, which means he does basically anything and everything to keep Sugar Land parks top notch!
Last week, Jose was at Oyster Creek Park when a patron flagged him down. The patron was understandably terrified because she was notified that her daughter was traveling along the trail when the battery to her wheelchair died. Without hesitation Jose took command of the situation, called for additional help and was able to find the patron's daughter. After making sure she was ok, Jose called her mother to let her know she was safe and recommended her mother meet them at Lost Creek Park because it would be easier to push the wheelchair there given her location. With Jose's help, mom and daughter were safely reunited! Jose is an incredibly hardworking employee with a heart of gold, according to his peers. ♥️ Jose is an incredible example of the Sugar Land Way, and the Sugar Land Parks and Recreation team are very proud him!
