Theft of Mail in Barrington Place, Sugar Land

On March 6, 2023, an alert citizen notified Sugar Land Police about a female opening community mailboxes and possibly stealing mail near Barrington Place subdivision on the north side of Sugar Land.

SLPD located and arrested Jessica Bursell for Theft of Mail and she was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail. A special thanks to the citizen who reported suspicious activity “See something, Say Something”.

@TownHubAdmin : Wow! Sounds like something we experienced last year, and then our mailbox keys were not functioning owing to some administrative issues. I wonder how do the thieves get access to the mailbox.

Brute force, at least around this area. They knocked in a whole bank of individual boxes not to long ago, which is why I do my best to just get junk mail. I actually got a bench warrant for an arrest for someone who used to live here yesterday, I feel bad for the guy, but I don't know where he lives now.
