Global Issues Summit 2023Registration is open for the Global Studies Academy’s 11th annual Global Issues Summit, which will take place April 15 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Travis High School. The student-run event aims to spread awareness to the community on a range of global issues and inform them about how they can act on those issues. This year’s summit will address access and availability, ranging from basic necessities, such as food and water, to more complex assets, such as healthcare, education and infrastructure. Attendees will explore ways a global network can provide these resources to societies in isolated or developing areas, hence the theme “Global Connection: The Path to Prosperity.” The event is free but registration is required.
