Most Common Middle School Traffic Violations

Last week on March 6 through the 10th, the Sugar Land Police Department, in coordination with FBISD Police Department, worked every Middle School Zone in the city. The officers made 27 traffic contacts and observed that the most common issues are driver behaviors such as:
- Speeding
- Illegal turns/u-turns being made
- Inattention to signage on the road prohibiting stopping, standing, and parking.
- Seatbelt violations
- Cell Phone violations
Next week the SLPD will be out in High School Zones, so let’s all work together to keep these kids safe!
