Lunch with a Sugar Land Cop!Geet was a lucky winner of her school’s PTO Auction for Lunch with a Cop. Thank you Geet for having lunch with Sugar Land Police Officers Stockholm and Sanderson on May 18, 2023. Many times the Sugar Land Police officers come across children who have been taught to fear the police. Lots of parents may say something like “you’d better behave or that officer will take me/you to jail!!”. They understand that it may seem funny to an adult, but statements like that make it harder for children to trust and come to them when they really do need help. So, Officers Stockholm and Sanderson (as well as all the officers at SLPD), want to take time out to make positive connections with the community’s youth. Yesterday, they got to do just that!Geet was so gracious to share her lunch time with them! As a winner of her school’s PTO Auction for Lunch with a Cop, she got to sit down with SLPD officers and share all kinds of stories! Thank you Geet, for the awesome card and the great conversation!
