According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide rates increased by 36 percent between 2000 and 2021. In 2021, there were 48,183 deaths by suicide, with the number of people having suicidal thoughts much higher at 12.3 million. The rate of suicide is one death every 11 minutes. Suicide attempts can leave emotional, physical, and economic impacts, and people that attempt and survive suicide may experience long-term health effects. Help them in the fight against suicide.
