Imperial Historic District Cleanup Event
Event Details:
Join the City of Sugar Land for a hands-on day of service as we work together to improve and beautify the Imperial Historic District. Volunteers will play an important role in preparing the site for future development while helping preserve an important part of our community’s history.
What to Expect:
- Work alongside City staff to move and organize historic bricks
- Assist with relocating and repalletizing bricks throughout the site (bricks can weigh between 5-10 lbs. each)
- Participate in a brief safety orientation before beginning work
- Water and snacks will be provided
Important Requirements:
- All volunteers must complete the Imperial Release and Waiver of Liability prior to participating, in addition to the Serve Sugar Land Volunteer Handbook and a background check (18+) or parent/guardian release form (under 18)
- Waiver can be completed in your MyImpact account under My Profile > Additional Info > General Volunteers > Imperial Release and Waiver of Liability
- Volunteers must be registered as a General Volunteer to access the waiver
Additional Notes:
- Volunteers must pre-register through their MyImpact account. No walk-ups will be accepted
- Safety is our top priority. All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes
- Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty
