Join the Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter for an engaging evening at the Rosenberg Civic Center on June 4, 2026 at 7:00pm: “Parks on the Air: A New Way to Experience the Outdoors.” A
fter a full day of birding, hiking, or exploring native plants, your time outdoors doesn’t have to end—you can add an entirely new dimension to your experience. Join Texas Master Naturalist Erik Wolf for an introduction to Parks on the Air (POTA) and amateur radio, where a simple park visit becomes an opportunity to connect with others in parks across the country and around the world. Whether you’re starting your morning with coffee and a radio or winding down after a day on the trail, this hands-on activity blends nature, technology, and a spirit of discovery. If you love being outside and are curious about trying something new in our parks, come find out what it’s all about.
About Our Speaker:
Erik Wolf is a Texas Master Naturalist who enjoys all things outdoors from birding and foraging, to hunting and fishing. He’s naturally curious and always looking to find new ways to experience nature. He enjoys sharing what he learns with others.
Coastal Prairie Chapter Programs are free and open to the public. This program will be held in-person at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 State Hwy 36 S, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Please plan to arrive at 6:00 pm for refreshments and social time. The program starts at 7:00 pm.
