Join for a FREE insect hike led by entomology specialists, hosted by the Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter. This month’s theme is “Cicadas, the Song of Summer.” The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes, as some trails may be muddy. In case of rain or inclement weather, the hike will be canceled. Attendees can also contribute to community science by using the iNaturalist or Seek apps during the hike, with assistance available on-site. The park is located across from the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, adjacent to the Rosenberg Civic Center. Enter from Highway 36, follow signs to the park, and proceed to the parking lot.
