This presentation, "The Houston Toad Recovery Program: A Brief History and Current Outlook," explores the endangered Houston toad and conservation efforts to restore its population. Learn about the species' natural history, captive breeding, reintroduction into the wild, and ongoing recovery work. The program features presenter Chris Valdez, a Zoo Keeper III in the Herpetology Department at the Houston Zoo, who has extensive experience working with reptiles and amphibians and has dedicated years to the Houston Toad Recovery Program.
