Join the City of Sugar Land for a hands-on emergency preparedness workshop designed for people who learn best by doing. The workshop covers generators, chainsaws, frozen water lines, and disaster preparation. Watching a video is one thing; starting a generator when the power is out is another. Featured topics include in-home and portable generator setup and use, chainsaws and other power tools, preparing water lines for freezing temperatures, PVC pipe basics, and disaster recovery. The City's tool lending trailer will be onsite, and participants will have an opportunity to ask questions about the equipment. Registration is required, and spaces are limited.
