@Bubbapie When James and I want a taste of home, and great seafood, huge menu, we go to Floyd's. Pappadeaux's is still very good, too, in our very critical opinion. All seafood is expensive, no matter where you go it seems.
Friday I went to Catfish Shack on 90 by New Territory. I got the catfish basket {fries) and chicken gumbo cup, not bowl. about $15, with just water. They gave me 6 big catfish filets!! I couldn't finish it. Took 3 filets home to James. The gumbo was seasoned extremely well! Lots of chicken and sausage in it. No, they really don't have any seasoning in the catfish batter, but it seems other things on the menu do. I want to try the shrimp creole, etoufee, and boudin sausage! The young manager, Scott, is great. I know he worked at Frenchy's at the same location. Must talk with him about that catfish seasoning problem!
