Congratulations to the 73 Fort Bend ISD students who were named National Merit Finalists for the 2022-23 school year!

Each year, more than a million high school students across the country enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Of those, 50,000 students are considered for recognition in the Program, earning the status of Commended Student or Semifinalist. From that number, a select group of approximately 15,000 are named Finalists. These students are then eligible to receive Merit Scholarships based on their abilities, skill and accomplishments.
