Kemah Boardwalk is getting a waterpark and should open next year. Details: The family-friendly attraction with a pirate shipwreck theme will feature eight rides. Additionally, a kids' play area will include a small splash toddler pool, three slides, waterfall jet, water mill, umbrella jet, tipping bucket, pool with water jets and a net bridge.

Cool! It is time they make some updates out there. We did enjoy The Flying Dutchman they closed down though.

This sounds like fun for families heading down to Kemah. It would be refreshing on a hot day like today. I hope the rain they're predicting brings some much needed relief.
