More stores closing around town
Sears at Bissonett still has its store closure sale, it is probably down to bare bones. Dropped by the HEB at Beechnut/Tollway and saw that the Payless Shoe Store is gone. I just bought $16 boots last postXmas sale there. More rumors the next besides the mall stores is Gamestop closing stores here and there.

Red Mango RIP at the First Colony. And the Fro Yo at Sweetwater. I had membership cards on both places! Also I believe Rack Room Shoes near Bambuu is gone at Fountains near Bed Bath Beyond

I forgot the name: Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt at sweetwater is closed, I think the new Muscle Maker Grill is replacing it soon. Guess the World of Beer just closed recently at First Colony?

I'm presuming the Macys at West Oaks mall is already shut down. They had closeout sales starting last March?

World of Beer is a franchise and we were told the owner stopped paying rent. I am surprised because it seemed pretty busy.

As for the next big thing I think it is popsicles since frozen yogurt seems to be slowing down. There are places that have opened with gourmet popsicles. The one in Katy is called Frios Gourmet Pops .

lol the Popsicle phase came and i believe starting to die out. Theres a Frios in Riverstone. Everytime i go, i never see anyone there.

Isn't it crazy? So many places like "ghost towns" and yet new buildings going up all the time. I think they should not build any more buildings until all the existing ones are filled!

Sure has been spreading. so many different stores and franchises closing. I think the Amazons and online ordering has become so routine and easy that many people are not going shopping as much. But they are Shopping online and getting amazing deals.

@melnixon Reminds me of how I forgot to buy staples at supplies store and didn't feel like remembering to get them so I went over to Amazon and bought them online

More store closings (but I think this was more exclusive to the locale) Red Bow Gift Shop over at Eldridge closed down just right before the Dollar Tree opened grand opening. I had a feeling so cuz I see many customers buy their party supplies and balloons at Dollar Tree.
