Ate at "Off the Vine Bistro" tonight. They say if you can't say a thing good about someone, don't say anything at all. Hint: would you pay $31 for this plus tip?

@Bubbapie for locally sourced the expectation is yes, I would pay that much.

It is a niche restaurant and they have a very hard time surviving due to menu fluctuations and higher cost ingredients.

Then you have consumers who don't understand the mission based business and try to compare it to a mass produced chain.

Makes it hard to survive for them sadly.

@snv86 I would like to say something positive, but can't think of anything. Jennifour said it had ample parking.

@Bubbapie Well bad parking can make for a stressful visit.

@Caseysdad22 Exactly, if you want cheap then go to chain restaurants - that's what they specialize in - mass produced heat and eat items all with the same processed foods.

Heck, no matter how pretty the picture - chains all taste the same.

You do have to pay more for local sourced and made foods - an individual restaurant has all the overhead to pay for on just one storefront and doesn't have the luxury of mass marketing and name recognition.

Too bad.
