Our Elkins High School from Missouri City record-breaking "Cuber" was a guest on KPRC's Houston Life today!Local student breaks records in Rubik's Cube competitionHOUSTON - Houston Life chats with Alina Zhu, the Fort Bend ISD student whose Megaminx-solving skills made her break North American records in a Rubik's Cube competition earlier this month.Zhu won Megaminx Silver at the WCA Space City Summer 2023 event held at the University of Houston, where there were more than 300 speedcubers from the Houston area and more than a hundred competitors.The Megaminx is a dodecahedron-shaped face-turning twisty puzzle that is very similar to the classic Rubik's Cube. It's part of the official competition for Runik's Cube."I know how I can perform my best, so I calmed down and was confident about my skills.
