Congratulations to the 73 Fort Bend ISD students who were named National Merit Finalists for the 2022-23 school year! Each year, more than a million high school students across the country enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Of those, 50,000 students are considered for recognition in the Program, earning the status of Commended Student or Semifinalist. From that number, a select group of approximately 15,000 are named Finalists. These students are then eligible to receive Merit Scholarships based on their abilities, skill and accomplishments.The Fort Bend ISD students named Finalists for the 2022-23 school year include: Austin High School
