Due to recent government decisions, I will try and consume only food produced in the United States. This is going to be tough on my coffee consumption as the only state that can grow coffee is Hawaii.

Maybe more people will start gardening vegetables and get chickens if they can although I know most cities don't allow chickens

Not true, even Houston allows chickens. You're not allowed to have roosters in the city, but since you want eggs not chicks, no big deal.

Agreed we have many neighbors with chickens, my immediate neighbor ( now moved out) had around 6 and they used to share eggs with us

Most chickens are not allowed in the city but allowed in the county
