No Free Parking at the Smart Financial Centre??
Sugar Land City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to amend the city's development agreement with ACE SL, LLC to include the construction of a 4,000 square foot standalone kitchen at the Smart Financial Centre to provide enhanced concessions for attendees and suite patrons.
The amendment includes that ACE will provide upfront funding for the project, and be repaid by the city for 50 percent of the project costs, in an amount not to exceed $750,000, through a deferral of the unbudgeted parking revenues that would otherwise be due from ACE to the city.
The amendment also includes rescheduling the substantial completion deadline for the overall project to November 12.
