Just saw the info about opening a Qahwah House Coffee Shop off 6 and 90 next summer (232 Hwy. 6 S., Ste. 200, Sugar Land).

Excited about this! I've never tried the place but photos and reviews from their original location in Michigan look delicious. Arabic coffee from owners originally from Yemen along with Turkish coffee on the menu. Look forward to trying the tasty looking sabaya and khaliat alnahl pastries.

@Misha : neat! Which location did you get to try? In the meantime do you know of any other places that serve those pastries in town? Very curious to try some.

Very cool. This was their first Yemeni Coffee shop in Dearborn. They started it 5 years ago and growing.

BlendIn Coffee off of Hwy 90 has good coffee and pastries. I don't mind Starbucks either. They have their holiday drinks and pastries out now.

@Jnainani : thank you but curious about the more interesting offerings there, namely the sabaya and khaliat alnahl pastries they have on the menu since it seems Misha has tried that cafe. They won't open until summer next year so I was just curious if there were other places in town that served something similar.

I do love Blend In though.

@SugarLander : It was a party at my previous school. Guess the location is somewhere near Fondren, but I wasn't happy with the taste. For pastries, I love going to Hot Breads on Hillcroft, and Three Brothers Bakery somewhere in North Houston. Let me know if you get to try any of these. Our own Whole Foods seem to have good collection every now and then.

@SugarLander : Are we talking about Three Brothers?
