A new Porsche dealership will be coming to Sugar Land is coming in 2023

IndiGO Auto Group hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on May 13 for the dealership, which will be located at 13424 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, and construction is slated to be complete in July 2023, according to a May 11 news release from the auto group. The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and will include a barbecue lunch and address by civic leaders, local business owners and CEO Kelly Wolf.

When construction on the 150,000-square-foot facility is complete, the dealership will mark the 24th franchised dealership for IndiGO Auto Group. Porsche Sugar Land is projected to employ upward of 50 employees in a multitude of sales and service positions.

I would love to own a Porsche but I know I can't afford one now let alone filling up my gas tank.

I hear ya. You can't drive fast anyways in Sugar Land let alone Houston. Too much congestion.

Well, I guess we should be glad Sugar Land is projected to be so prosperous, but I wouldn't drive a car that expensive in Houston even if I could afford it. The pot holes, the carless parkers who ding your car, oh no!

I wouldn't drive an expensive car even if I won the lotto. The roads are horrible in Houston let alone the drivers. Someone banged into my car and took off and it was a few thousand dollars to fix. I only had my car for 2 months. My windshield is cracked from flying objects on highways and stone chips. I hate drivers banging into my car doors too.

Exactly. My dad restored cars and drove them for fun. We never left the slow (right) lane, we never parked near the front of any parking lot, and he did his own body work. I still hate, hate, hate, parking near the back and have someone park right next to me, and my car is 4 years old!

People will run you down even in the slow lane. I try not to park next to any cars. I park so far away from stores, restaurants, etc so my car doesn't get dinged. I try to park near a light too since people have been stealing catalytic converters and stealing or breaking into cars.
