From Sugar Land Parks & Recreation:

Something beautiful is taking shape at Memorial Park!

Construction is officially underway on the new Butterfly Garden Pavilion—a peaceful, shaded retreat nestled along the lake loop trail. This thoughtfully designed space will offer a place to relax, connect with nature, and enjoy the garden’s vibrant surroundings.

The new pavilion area will include:
• A 16’x16’ pavilion seamlessly connected to the lake loop trail
• A 23’x25’ concrete pad for added accessibility and comfort
• A 300-gallon rain barrel to support eco-friendly landscaping
• Two picnic tables perfect for quiet moments or small gatherings

Estimated completion is mid-May, just in time for sunny strolls and springtime blooms!
This project is proudly funded by the Sugar Land 4B Corporation, continuing our commitment to enhancing parks and enriching community spaces.

Stay tuned—we can’t wait for you to experience the charm of the Butterfly Garden Pavilion soon!
