Dulles High School Students Bring Home 16 Medals
Five members of the Dulles High School Kickstart Martial Arts team delivered an outstanding performance at the World Martial Arts Games in Norway, bringing home a total of 16 medals.
Representing the U.S. Martial Arts Team, Lily McConnell, Alainah Nabi, Teagan Nellippallil, Hyatt Nellippallil and Johanna Reyes earned nine gold, six silver and one bronze medal.
Dulles instructor Tracy Armstead also impressed at the event, earning two gold and two silver medals.
Former Dulles student Christina Subonj added to the community’s success with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the competition.
