Sugar Land Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspect

Sugar Land Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an aggravated assault that seriously injured a woman earlier this summer.
The assault occurred June 5, 2026, at approximately 10:25 a.m. near Creekbend Drive and Fluor Daniel Drive. The victim reported she was walking in the area when an unknown man approached her from behind and attacked her with a baseball bat. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim recently worked with a forensic sketch artist to develop a composite sketch of the suspect, which police are now releasing in hopes someone may recognize him.
The suspect is described as a Black male believed to be in his 30s or 40s. He was reportedly seen leaving the area in an SUV, though the victim could not provide a definitive color for the vehicle.
Anyone who recognizes the person in the sketch, witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the assault, or has information that could help investigators is asked to contact the Sugar Land Police Department at 281-275-2020 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
The investigation remains ongoing.
