The Peach Cobbler Factory is opening a new location in Sugar Land. I haven't heard of this business but they have locations all around (Katy, Pearland, Houston, etc) and are due to open on September 11 at 19914 Southwest Freeway close to Gringo's. Just what I need, more sugar Emoticon Yes, I will be a customer.

Had anyone been to the grand opportunity of the other location? I do like peach cobbler but don't want to wait in a half hour long line just to save 10 percent of something.

@SLteacher :
I have never been-have you tried any other desserts other than the cobbler?

@Bubbapie :
Your comment made me laugh-this could be a dangerous place for both of us!

I haven't tried any of their locations yet but will give them a try. The cobbler must be decent if that is their main product. I have just been noticing a bigger trend of more disappointing grand opening deals. Before, more places would sample out their goods, give big discounts and have fun giveaways but now its usually just busier, full price with untrained service and a sad discount of like 10-15 percent or a "free topping" promo.

I've noticed that the birthday deals are predominantly a free dessert.

Yes, it does seem like gone are the days of true freebies and good discounts. Lots of times there is a catch. Even a free sample is appreciated.

Afew other places nearby have decent deals pop up like Bobitesand Luby's. Kohiko has a teacher discount which is nice. Spring Creek's regular BOGO is one of the good ones. they also have a free meal for birthdays and anniversary of your membership. tinyurl.com/mr37zztb

The last grand opening that I thought was fun was the Yogurt Land off of University. I actually won a $100 gift card from them for yogurt, but they sent it to me from some weird email that I cannot could not find after first opening it. When I tried to reach out to verify the information on the link i pulled up before, they basically ghosted me making that gift card useless. Unfortunately, the end result is that even though my family has wanted to go there several times, I refuse to go since I don't want to support that sort of shady interaction.
