Stolen Vehicle Discovery Leads to Multiple Arrests in Sugar Land

From the Sugar Land Police Department:
Proactive Patrol Presence. Late on the night of January 29th, our Night Shift officers witnessed a vehicle with an expired registration make a wide turn. While conducting the stop, our officers learned that license plate didn’t match the vehicle they’d stopped, it was reported stolen out of Houston. Upon having both passengers step out of the vehicle, several debit/credit cards were found in plain view that did not belong to either passenger. This led to a probable cause search and our officers found a pried-open safe that was recently stolen from a business in Missouri City. The subjects were placed in custody for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Trespassing.
