Sugar Land Parks and Recreation Facility Reservation Update
Duhacsek Park House is closed for reservations until further notice. The Pavilion remains open for reservations.
Earlier last week, Sugar Land Animal Services rescued over 138 cats left unattended in a Sugar Land residence. Since the animal shelter was already at capacity, a temporary shelter was set up at Duhacsek Park. Many of the cats have tested positive for panleukopenia and several others are exhibiting symptoms. Their city staff continues to work through this challenging situation and the City’s Emergency Operations Center was activated to deploy necessary resources needed to manage this incident.
